Why It Works for Groups
Paella is a dish made for sharing, cooked in one big pan and served at the center of the table. Building it together, while others work on the bravas and the pudding, makes this one of the more satisfying hands on team building activities for a small team. Private groups start at just 2 guests and go up to 10, so it works for a couple, a family celebration or a close team, and it is a ready answer to team building activity ideas for small groups.
It also suits a birthday, a bachelorette party or a holiday gathering. As christmas team building plans go, a plant-based Spanish feast keeps every diet at the same table and brings a taste of Spain to a winter evening.
About Your Host
Your class is guided by the chef who founded the school in 2016 as a place to gather, cook together and connect in the kitchen. His cooking was shaped by his roots in Argentina and by decades of living in California, where a wide range of cuisines lets him borrow ingredients and techniques from one another. After years of cooking on instinct, he went to culinary school to add formal technical discipline, and today he teaches the fundamentals and the why behind each step so guests can cook with confidence instead of leaning on a recipe.
Classes take place in a light-filled industrial loft in Potrero Hill with an open kitchen and a 20-seat capacity, centrally located just off the 280. Beyond classes, the school also offers private dinners and catering.
The approach is simple: learn basic techniques, organize your procedures so cooking feels effortless, and build the confidence to improvise with what is in your own pantry. Events are designed to be engaging and social, with clear, step-by-step instruction throughout and plenty of time for interaction, so the ideas that make a great cook come across naturally.
How the Class Runs
- Arrive at the loft and meet the ingredients for the menu
- Start the vegan rice pudding so it has time to set

- Make the patatas bravas and the seasonal salad
- Sit down together to share the meal you cooked
