The chef shows the group how to make fresh pasta dough, roll it out and then fill and shape beautiful tortelloni. Everyone gets their hands in the dough, and the chef is there to help as you seal and fold each piece. Guests describe a small, friendly class in a loft where they met other people, learned the steps clearly and finished with a sit-down meal and good conversation.
Why It Works for Groups
Shaping pasta is repetitive in a good way: hands stay busy, conversation flows and everyone can see their progress on the tray. That rhythm is why team building through cooking works so well for colleagues who rarely share a table. With room for 10 to 20 guests, this class suits a full department and is a strong pick among corporate team building cooking classes in the city.
It is also a warm choice for a birthday, a bachelorette party or a Christmas party. As holiday team building activities go, cooking and sharing an Italian meal gives a team a reason to slow down and celebrate together.
About Your Host
Your class is guided by the chef who founded the school in 2016 as a place to gather, cook together and connect in the kitchen. His cooking was shaped by his roots in Argentina and by decades of living in California, where a wide range of cuisines lets him borrow ingredients and techniques from one another. After years of cooking on instinct, he went to culinary school to add formal technical discipline, and today he teaches the fundamentals and the why behind each step so guests can cook with confidence instead of leaning on a recipe.
Classes take place in a light-filled industrial loft in Potrero Hill with an open kitchen and a 20-seat capacity, centrally located just off the 280. Beyond classes, the school also offers private dinners and catering.
The approach is simple: learn basic techniques, organize your procedures so cooking feels effortless, and build the confidence to improvise with what is in your own pantry. Events are designed to be engaging and social, with clear, step-by-step instruction throughout and plenty of time for interaction, so the ideas that make a great cook come across naturally.
