What You Will Learn
The workshop starts with the basics of fragrance design: scent families and the top, middle and base notes that give a perfume its shape. From there, guests explore the fragrance oils on the table, smelling and comparing as they go, then begin blending with guidance from the instructors. You create, refine and customize your blend until it feels right, then bottle and label your finished scent.
Along the way you gain confidence and practical knowledge in fragrance mixing, in a relaxed, creative and sensory setting. It is beginner friendly, and there is nothing to bring.

Your host is a women-owned and Latino-owned craft and STEM studio in Hayes Valley, San Francisco. It describes itself as a multi-platform educational company built around creative expression, storytelling and a strong emphasis on STEM, with more than 30 classroom programs and more than 2,500 students reached each year. Alongside its classes and camps for kids, the studio runs customizable crafting events for adults: team building, birthdays, celebrations, teacher appreciation, girls nights and bridal parties. Groups can join the cozy Hayes Valley studio or have the instructors bring the full experience to a home, office or event venue, and the studio can also arrange decorations, food, drinks and event rentals for a stress-free event. Its adult program also includes monthly drop-in workshops, and its event packages cover paint parties, resin, candle making, jewelry making, macrame and seasonal wreath making.
