While your group makes five different chocolate candies, a wine manager from the neighborhood wine bar that hosts the class walks you through four wines that pair beautifully with chocolate, and light appetizers keep everyone going.

Why It Works for Groups
The class strikes a nice blend of time actively working on the chocolate and time for casual chats within the team and with the instructors. Everyone gets their hands into the chocolate, the wine keeps conversation flowing, and the group ends the session grinning over trays of candy they made together. That mix is why so many offices choose it among chocolate team building activities.
It is also a classy alternative to the usual happy hour. With four pours and a wine expert on hand, it doubles as a relaxed bit of wine team building where people learn something new. Private groups of 8 to 20 guests suit a department outing, a birthday, a bachelorette party or a date night with friends, and among christmas team building activities, a pound of handmade candy per guest makes for an easy holiday treat to share.
Teams of 11 and 16 have described it as a memorable, organized and very fun event, with plentiful chocolate and wine and friendly, knowledgeable hosts from both businesses. The wine flight typically includes three wines plus a dessert wine, and guests who skip alcohol get mocktails instead, so everyone at the table is part of the tasting. The peanut butter cups regularly steal the show.
About Your Host
Your class comes from a locally owned sweets shop in the heart of North Beach that specializes in small-batch, creative, multi-layered gourmet fudge made in house, alongside chocolate confections, ice cream and salt water taffy. Its signature peanut butter pie fudge has seven layers inside, from peanut butter fudge and baked cookies to caramel, real marshmallow, milk chocolate fudge and a crumble of toffee.
The owner started cooking as a teenager, worked his way through college in kitchens and joined the shop as a chef in early 2021. Since then he has taught thousands of people chocolate making, and in 2025 he took over the shop. The chefs who lead the classes use the same techniques they use behind the counter, so your group learns real methods rather than a simplified demo.
