How the Workshop Runs
The experience begins with roughly 30 minutes of guided fragrance education. You learn about scent families, how the perfume pyramid works and how to blend with intention. Then comes about an hour of independent blending, with the team on hand to answer questions and offer guidance as you explore, experiment and refine. The final part of the session is used to finalize your formula, then bottle and label your custom perfume. The instructors set the pace and let everyone know when it is time to move from blending to bottling, so every guest finishes within the scheduled time.

About Your Host
The host is a women-owned fragrance studio and shop in the Elmwood neighborhood of Berkeley. Its founder, a Master Blender, has owned the business since 2007 and opened the Berkeley storefront in May 2023. It began as small batches of clean, skin-safe blends made in a home kitchen and grew into a full retail space and workshop hub, where everything is handcrafted in small batches from more than 900 perfume and essential oils. She and her team have taught many classes, private parties and corporate events, and they love watching guests of all ages light up as they learn something new.
