On the Menu
- Vegan mozzarella, ricotta and mascarpone made from cashews

- Toppings such as pickled asparagus and olive tapenade
You prepare fresh New York-style pizza dough and also work with a long-fermented Neapolitan dough prepped ahead of time, so the group can compare two styles of crust. Pizzas come out of the oven throughout the workshop, and everyone tastes their creations alongside fellow food lovers. There are always leftovers to take home.
Why It Works for Groups
Turning cashews into something that melts and stretches like cheese surprises almost everyone, and that shared surprise is a great icebreaker. Guests rotate between cheese making, dough and toppings, which keeps cooking team bonding active from start to finish. Because the whole menu is plant-based, vegan and non-vegan colleagues eat the same food, which makes it one of the more unique team building events for a mixed group.
With 8 to 15 guests per private class, it sits comfortably among team building activities for small groups, and it is also a fun pick for a birthday, a bachelorette party or a Christmas party.
About Your Host
Your class is guided by the chef who founded the school in 2016 as a place to gather, cook together and connect in the kitchen. His cooking was shaped by his roots in Argentina and by decades of living in California, where a wide range of cuisines lets him borrow ingredients and techniques from one another. After years of cooking on instinct, he went to culinary school to add formal technical discipline, and today he teaches the fundamentals and the why behind each step so guests can cook with confidence instead of leaning on a recipe.
Classes take place in a light-filled industrial loft in Potrero Hill with an open kitchen and a 20-seat capacity, centrally located just off the 280. Beyond classes, the school also offers private dinners and catering.
The approach is simple: learn basic techniques, organize your procedures so cooking feels effortless, and build the confidence to improvise with what is in your own pantry. Events are designed to be engaging and social, with clear, step-by-step instruction throughout and plenty of time for interaction, so the ideas that make a great cook come across naturally.
