What You Will Make
Each guest chooses blooms to express a personal style, tests a few layouts on a practice frame, then arranges and preserves the flowers in a glass frame. For a meaningful touch, guests can bring a favorite small photo to place at the center of the frame, or a few of their own thin, already-pressed flowers or flat paper mementos. Instructors make sure the delicate elements are properly sealed and secured, so the artwork goes home ready to hang.
The flowers are real and have been pressed and dried to keep their color for as long as possible. To help the piece last, keep it out of direct, intense sunlight. An optional frame upgrade is available for $15.
Why It Works for Groups
Among team building workshops, this one stands out for its quiet focus. There is no competition and no wrong answer, so colleagues who rarely work together end up comparing blooms, trading ideas and admiring each other's frames. It is a natural pick for relaxing team building activities and for team building art projects for adults who want something calm, elegant and personal.
Groups of up to 100 guests make it one of the more flexible large group team building activities, and the studio hosts corporate teams, private parties, bridal showers and birthdays. With frames that make thoughtful gifts, it also fits the season as one of the gentler office holiday team building activities.
The studio describes its group sessions as customizable, from a 1-hour mini workshop to a half-day immersive experience tailored to team size and goals. Hands-on creative activities encourage problem-solving, collaboration and laughter, and every guest leaves with a finished piece plus shared memories. Popular occasions include company team-building sessions, employee appreciation days, holiday parties and offsites, and private celebrations.
About the Studio
The host runs creative art and craft workshops from two studio spaces, one in San Francisco and one in downtown San Jose, and offers public sessions, private events and mobile workshops. Alongside this class the studio teaches pressed flower art, botanical candle making, rug tufting, Turkish mosaic lamp making, moss wall art and glass painting, so a team that enjoys one session has plenty of options for the next one. Every workshop is built for beginners: materials, tools and step-by-step guidance are part of the fee, and guests are welcome to relax with complimentary tea, snacks and Turkish coffee while they work.
