Why It Works for Groups
Pizza gives everyone a job and a reason to cheer when the pies come out of the oven, which is why it is one of the most popular team building cooking activities for colleagues and friends. Everyone works side by side, trades tips on shaping and topping, and then sits down to share the results. With 6 to 12 guests per private class, it is one of the easiest team building activities for small groups to plan.
The class is also a natural fit for a birthday, a bachelorette party or a Christmas party. As christmas team building ideas go, a pizza party where the team makes the food is a relaxed change from a restaurant booking. Kids aged 7 and up are welcome with an adult, and each guest needs their own ticket.
About Your Host
Your class is guided by the chef who founded the school in 2016 as a place to gather, cook together and connect in the kitchen. His cooking was shaped by his roots in Argentina and by decades of living in California, where a wide range of cuisines lets him borrow ingredients and techniques from one another. After years of cooking on instinct, he went to culinary school to add formal technical discipline, and today he teaches the fundamentals and the why behind each step so guests can cook with confidence instead of leaning on a recipe.
Classes take place in a light-filled industrial loft in Potrero Hill with an open kitchen and a 20-seat capacity, centrally located just off the 280. Beyond classes, the school also offers private dinners and catering.
The approach is simple: learn basic techniques, organize your procedures so cooking feels effortless, and build the confidence to improvise with what is in your own pantry. Events are designed to be engaging and social, with clear, step-by-step instruction throughout and plenty of time for interaction, so the ideas that make a great cook come across naturally.
