What Kids Will Make
The sky is the limit. Popular choices include slab-built mugs, cute sculptures or whimsical clay play for younger kids, and the studio works with you to choose a project that fits your party theme or the guest of honor's interests. Whatever you pick, it is designed to be fun, age-appropriate and manageable for every child, so nobody gets overwhelmed.
After the party the pieces go through a multi-step process of drying, bisque firing, glazing and a final firing. It typically takes about 3 to 4 weeks, and you get an email when everything is ready for pickup, so each guest ends up with a finished masterpiece to display proudly on the shelf.
Why Families Love It
It is a creative twist on kids activities, perfect for families looking for something beyond the usual art classes or museums. Kids get boosted creativity and confidence, fun screen-free social time and the sensory play that comes with squishing clay. The format works for mixed ages, including teens, because creativity does not have an age limit.
Parents planning party entertainment also get an easy day: the instructor guides the whole process, the studio handles the firing, and the kids go home with a keepsake instead of a goody bag. As kiddies party entertainment goes, it is also one of the gentler team building art projects for a mixed-age group, and one of the more fun team activities a family can share. For families who like creative team activities, it is a natural fit.
Food and Drinks
Bring your own snacks, treats and cake, along with utensils and napkins, or add food and drinks for $100, which includes an extra 30 minutes after the pottery fun for eating, drinking and cleanup. Party hats are on you.
About the Studio
The host is a women-owned pottery studio in the Inner Richmond neighborhood of San Francisco. Its founder grew up in her mom's pottery studio, spending most of her childhood covered in clay, helping customers and learning to make things by hand. Before opening her own business she worked as an elementary school teacher, and that background still shapes the room: the goal is a space where people feel comfortable trying something new, slowing down and not feeling intimidated.
The studio opened in 2023 and now runs one-night hand-building workshops, memberships, kids pottery parties and private events for teams and friends. Its own ceramic line focuses on color, form and playful pieces meant to be used every day, and that same spirit carries into every class.
