For unusual team building events and private celebrations in the San Francisco Bay Area, this is the house's most exclusive tour. Your private group of 6 to 16 guests spends two or more hours exploring hidden indoor sanctuaries and enchanted outdoor realms, personally guided by the founder and artistic director alongside the creative director.
The tour is by appointment only and open to private groups only, so you will never be mixed with other guests. It takes place in an artist-run art house west of Twin Peaks in San Francisco, a city Historic Landmark and Legacy Business. Guests ages 7 and up are welcome, and the tour is given in English.

- Personal guiding by the founder and the creative director
- Access to hidden indoor sanctuaries and the outdoor art realms
- Stories about the art, the founder's journey and San Francisco cultural history, shared as your questions lead
- A screen-free setting that keeps the whole group present
What to Expect
No two tours are alike. There is no set script: the experience is shaped by your group's presence, curiosity and engagement. Doors may open where you least expect, and pathways shift in response to your interaction. Your guests are invited to lead the conversation, and the founder reveals stories about the art and the city only when prompted by that curiosity. Groups may even be invited through secret portals never seen by the public.
For Teams and Leaders
The house designed this tour with executive leadership, screen-first teams and hybrid workforces in mind. Moving between indoor sanctuaries and outdoor realms, hierarchy tends to fall away and people connect through shared discovery rather than an icebreaker. The hosts can even swap and blend groups early on so colleagues who have never met in person warm up quickly. As unique team building events go, it suits leadership offsites and small departments, and it sits naturally among team building activities for small groups because the cap keeps it intimate.
For Celebrations
The tour is also a favorite for milestone birthdays, anniversaries and pre-wedding gatherings. Unlike a rowdy party venue, it is a grounded, personal experience where the guests lead the story, and many groups end with a toast to the future. The house describes the journey as a sensory exploration that often moves from the profane to the profound, giving families and partners room to reconnect and share a moment that matters. If you want unusual party entertainment that people will still be describing years later, this is it. Planners collecting unique team building ideas often discover it works just as well for friends and family as for coworkers.
About the House
The museum is a 1920 Mediterranean Revival house tucked into the West Portal and Balboa Terrace neighborhoods, west of Twin Peaks. Over four decades its founder, a San Francisco-born whirling dervish, entertainer and visual artist, has turned it into a 27-room immersive journey, with art gardens outside built together with local artists. It holds a rare dual honor as San Francisco Historic Landmark 318 and a registered Legacy Business, recognized by the city as a valuable cultural asset after more than 40 years of continuous operation. It calls itself a Connectatorium: a living space for storytelling, humor, singing and dance where visitors take part instead of just looking. Its stated mission is to keep the arts alive in San Francisco by mentoring artists of all disciplines and facilitating active play for every guest who enters.
