How the Experience Runs
The session opens with roughly 30 minutes of guided fragrance education taught by the Master Blender, covering the history of perfume, fragrance families, scent structure and intentional blending techniques. Then comes about an hour of independent blending, with the freedom to explore the extensive collection, experiment with combinations and develop your signature scent at your own pace. The Master Blender and team provide guidance and answer questions as needed, though independent time is not dedicated one-on-one instruction. The final portion is used to refine your formula, then bottle and label your custom perfume.

About Your Host
The host is a women-owned fragrance studio and shop in the Elmwood neighborhood of Berkeley. Its founder, a Master Blender, has owned the business since 2007 and opened the Berkeley storefront in May 2023. It began as small batches of clean, skin-safe blends made in a home kitchen and grew into a full retail space and workshop hub, where everything is handcrafted in small batches from more than 900 perfume and essential oils. She and her team have taught many classes, private parties and corporate events, and they love watching guests of all ages light up as they learn something new.
