How the Workshop Runs
Guests settle in at the garden table, grab a drink and start browsing the trays of charms and beads. Each person decides what to make: a bag charm that clips onto a purse or tote, or a charm bracelet to wear right away. The studio team offers guidance at every step, from choosing a color story to attaching each piece securely, while leaving plenty of freedom to make something that feels personal.
Guests are also welcome to bring any special charms of their own to work into the design. A charm from a trip, an initial or a small keepsake can become the centerpiece of the finished piece, which makes it a meaningful gift as well as a fun accessory.
Why It Works for Groups
With a private group of 4 to 10 guests around one table, this is a natural fit for team building activities for small groups and close friends. There is no skill hurdle and no wrong answer, so conversation flows while everyone digs through the beads, and the open-air garden setting keeps the mood easy. As crafty team building activities go, it is hands-on without being messy, and every guest leaves with something they actually want to use.
It is also among the more fun team bonding activities for a small team that wants to step away from screens. Comparing designs and trading beads quickly becomes part of the fun, and the finished charms make a lasting reminder of the afternoon or evening together. For small team bonding activities that feel like a treat, the combination of making, snacking and sitting in a garden is hard to beat.
About the Studio
The host is a creative jewelry studio where complete beginners make beautiful gemstone jewelry. In its regular guided two-hour sessions, guests design and create a ring, pendant or bracelet in sterling silver or gold fill, choosing from more than 30 types of gemstones and learning basic soldering along the way. The studio is women-owned, offers hands-on support from experienced silversmiths and a huge selection of charms, gemstones and precious metals, and keeps a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere at both of its Bay Area locations in Sausalito and Berkeley.
The Sausalito studio is rated 4.9 on its map listing across 71 reviews.

Tips for Organizers
Pricing is per guest, so the total scales with your final headcount, and the 4-guest minimum keeps even a small celebration private. Because the class takes place outdoors in the garden, suggest that guests bring a layer. Guests coming from San Francisco can take the ferry and walk to the studio, while drivers will find easy street parking nearby. If your group would also like to try soldering a ring, pendant or bracelet in sterling silver or gold fill, the studio runs those guided sessions too.
A Fit for Many Occasions
The workshop is great for a birthday, a bachelorette party or a fun outing with friends in Sausalito, and a seat in the class makes a cool gift for her, for mom or as a Christmas gift.
