Looking for a meaningful way to spend your day outdoors? Join us for a hands-on gardening experience that supports a local non-profit dedicated to growing and giving away fresh vegetables to the community and creating beautiful green spaces for all to enjoy!

About this Experience
In this half-day volunteer activity, you'll learn the basics of gardening — from soil to seeds to harvest — and get your hands in the dirt for a great cause. No experience necessary — gardening is science (with a sprinkle of patience), not magic! Whether you're a seasoned gardener or a total beginner, you'll leave with new skills, new friends, and a bag of fresh veggies to take home.

What to Expect
🕒 20 minutes — Welcome & Check-In

Sign in, quick hand-washing, and name tags
Please arrive on time and carpool if possible to help us manage space
🗣️ 10 minutes — Introduction & Our Mission

Learn about our work in food security and environmental justice
🌿 30 minutes — Garden & Farm Tour

Explore the farm and see where the magic happens
💪 90 minutes — Volunteer Projects (something for everyone!)

Composting: Flip compost piles and learn how food scraps turn into soil
Planting: Put new seeds and plants into the ground
Weeding & Bed Prep: Help get the garden ready for new growth
Mulching Pathways: Keep the farm beautiful and accessible
Sowing Seeds & Thinning Fruit Trees: Support healthy plant growth

Pick leafy greens, lettuces, and other seasonal produce — take some home to enjoy!

Note: Please travel light — this is an open, public space with no secure storage for valuables.
