How the Evening Runs
The format is a reception, not a seated class. Guests arrive at the Estate House, pick up a glass at the wine bar and mingle around boards of cheese and charcuterie. Four wines are poured, from a sparkling wine to start through a Chardonnay, a red blend and the winery's Black Label Cabernet, so there is something for every taste and plenty of reason to circulate and talk.
Because the reception runs from 4:30 to 6:00 PM, it fits neatly at the end of a working day: a team can finish an offsite session, drive over and still have dinner plans afterward. The relaxed, standing format makes it easy for people from different teams to meet each other.
Why Groups Book It
For company offsite activities in wine country, a private reception solves the hardest part of planning: finding a beautiful, contained setting where a group of 17 to 30 can be together without a rigid program. It works for a sales team celebration, a leadership offsite wrap-up, a client thank-you or a department holiday gathering.
It is also a natural appreciation team building activity after a big launch or a strong quarter, and one of the more memorable team building activities for company outing days that combine a few vineyard stops with an evening together. The winery describes its group events as curated private experiences tailored to group size and occasion.
About the Winery
The host is a second-generation, family-owned winery in the Stags Leap District, in the heart of Napa Valley. The family farms every vine itself, and two of its vineyards, in the Stags Leap District and Calistoga, are certified organic. Wine caves run beneath the estate, and small-lot Cabernet Sauvignon is the focus of the winemaking. The winery is open daily from 10 AM to 4 PM by prior reservation.
