The Mission
Your team has received an invitation to join a secret fraternal order, the Attic Society. Normally new members would simply pass an initiation test, but the order is fractured from within. To be accepted, your group must pass the test and also discover who is trying to undo the society. Tradition dictates that only a certain number of people can join at a time, so the team is split into two groups, one in each attic. Along the way you will find clues and items that are actually meant for the other room, so cooperation is the fastest route to the exit.
Why It Works for Teams
Few games make communication as visible as this one. Each half of the team holds pieces the other half needs, so people have to listen, describe what they see and trust each other's answers through a wall. That makes it one of the clearest problem solving team building activities a company can book, and a natural fit for escape room corporate team building. The host describes the skills it draws on as communication, creativity, critical thinking and analysis, problem solving, and teamwork and collaboration.
Because there are two identical rooms, the game also works as one of the more competitive team building activities around: two teams of up to 18 can race each other in the same hour to see who escapes first. The host suggests matching two departments for bragging rights, or a sports team against parents and coaches. With room for up to 36 players at once, it is a practical choice among team building events for large groups that want everyone playing at the same time instead of waiting in shifts.
For office parties, the host recommends challenging the team with creative problem-solving puzzles, then kicking back afterward to eat, drink and talk through the game. That turns the hour into one of the easier office party team building games to plan, and interactive team building facilitators are available for groups that want a more structured session.
How It Works
Your group must arrive 20 minutes before the booking time for orientation. Late arrivals can still play, but the end time stays the same, one hour from the booking time, because each room is sanitized before the next group comes in. Inside, players are free to move around, interact with every item, enter codes into locks and trigger the room's mechanisms. A Game Master watches the game live and keeps it moving, so even first-time players get the full experience.
- Arrive 20 minutes early for orientation and sign the waiver sent by email
- Enter your private room and start the 60-minute clock
- Search the room, crack codes and solve puzzles together
- Escape before time runs out, then celebrate with a group photo
