How the Workshop Runs
Guests arrive to tables laid out with lamp globes and trays of glass in every color. The instructor starts with a short demonstration of traditional mosaic patterns, like stars, waves and geometric bands, and shows how to plan a design that wraps around the globe. Then everyone gets to work, choosing colors and setting tiles and beads piece by piece while the instructor moves from table to table. The final stage is grouting and cleanup of the glass, followed by the moment everyone waits for: switching on the lamps to see each design light up.
Why Groups Love Mosaic Lamps
It is one of the more fun team building workshops because the pace is calm and the result is beautiful. Placing small pieces of glass is absorbing, quiet work that frees people up to talk, so conversations flow naturally across the table. Everyone uses the same materials, yet every lamp comes out completely different, which makes comparing designs at the end a great icebreaker. The workshop is indoors and seated, works for every fitness level and in any season, and gives each guest a functional piece of décor rather than a throwaway souvenir. Planners book it as one of their corporate team building workshops for offsites, holiday parties, employee appreciation days and small leadership groups, and it is equally popular for birthdays, date nights and bachelorette parties.
Group Size and Pricing
Pricing is per guest, so your total follows your headcount, and every guest receives their own lamp. The studio hosts private groups from ten guests up to forty for this workshop. Book two to three weeks ahead for private groups, and earlier for the holiday season, when team bonding workshops are in demand. Guests aged eight and up can take part, with children accompanied by an adult who also holds a spot.
