The class is priced at $45 per guest for the two hour session, for groups of 2 to 20 students. All art supplies are provided and kids take home their creative projects. The class runs on weekday mornings from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM during the school year and is beginner-friendly.

What Students Learn
Each student learns to sketch using simple shapes and then turn those shapes into dimensional forms. Stick figures become manikins, and manikins become fashion figures, action heroes and characters. Using the same construction techniques, students learn to draw animals of all sorts and to tell a story with their drawings.
In the second hour, students move to painting and choose from many surfaces and materials. They are introduced to a wide range of mixed media, find the ones they enjoy most and begin their own creative process. Each child grows at their own pace, and every lesson is geared to each student's abilities, so beginners and more confident young artists can share the same table.
Why It Works for Student Groups
Beyond building confidence in art, the class gives children time to socialize and bond with other art lovers, which makes it one of the more creative team building activities for kids who learn outside a traditional classroom. Homeschool co-ops and small clubs use it as one of their team building activities for small groups of students, and the indoor studio setting makes it a dependable choice among indoor team building activities for students in any season.
Parents describe a knowledgeable, kind teacher who organizes materials to show progress over time, and children who come out of their first nervous day excited to return each week. For anyone collecting team building ideas for students, it combines skill building with a friendly group atmosphere.
Classes run Monday through Friday mornings during the school year, and the studio notes they are also a good fit during winter, spring and summer camp weeks. Each lesson is planned so that children finish what they start and leave proud of a lesson accomplished from beginning to end.
