This 8,000 square foot nightclub-style event venue in San Francisco's Japantown holds up to 750 guests for standing events. It pairs exposed brick and a neon-lit bar with an in-house production rig: Pioneer DJ gear, an LED video wall, 16 intelligent moving heads, lasers, a hazer and stage platforms.
Where many bars squeeze a party into a corner, this space is built for scale. A spacious dance floor anchors the room, balcony and raised seating look down on it, and lounge areas with plush sofas, round marble tables and tufted banquettes give guests somewhere to step out of the action. Geometric ceiling lights and pendant fixtures set the mood before the show lighting even comes on.

The Space
The layout is flexible enough to handle very different formats. A product launch can put a stage and screen at one end with a standing crowd in front; a company party can center on the dance floor with balcony seating overlooking it; a fashion show can run a runway through the middle. Natural light reaches the room for daytime setups, air conditioning keeps a full house comfortable, and storage space holds your event materials.

- Dance floor, balcony seating and raised lounge areas
- Lift to all floors, wheelchair access and accessible restrooms
- Staff on hand to help coordinate event logistics
Production Equipment
The in-house gear is a big part of what this room offers. A hired DJ walks into a professional DJ sound system, the video wall runs off a Resolume processor, and the light show is already rigged, so dj lighting and effects do not need to be trucked in. You can also play your own music or bring your own DJ.
- Pioneer DDJ 1000-SRT controller, DJM 900 Nexus 2 mixer and CDJ 2000 Nexus 2
- LED jumbotron display on a Resolume processor, 16:9, accepting .MOV and .PNG files
- Three additional 16:9 TV displays for JPEG or PNG content
- Ambient strip lighting, 16 intelligent moving heads, 4 RGBW strobes, 3 RGB color bars and back bar lighting
- Special effects: two 10 watt commercial lasers and a water-based hazer
- Photo equipment available on site
Add-ons and rentals fill in the rest: battery-powered RGBWAUV uplighting for party uplighting around the room, a performance follow spot, pipe and drape, microphones, stage monitors, a 12, 16 or 32 channel digital mixing console, and a portable stage of six 4 by 4 platforms that can be extended with six more.
Food and Drink
The venue runs its own bar, and all alcohol is served by its licensed bartenders, with service ending ten minutes before the event does. No outside alcohol is allowed. In-house food options are available on request, and outside caterers are welcome when pre-approved, licensed and insured. Food and beverage are arranged separately from the room rental.
Events It Suits
- Large company holiday parties and all-hands celebrations
- Product launches, conferences and fashion shows
- Birthday parties that need a real dance floor
- Engagement and anniversary parties at scale
- Executive retreat closing nights and conference receptions
For planners, it is a corporate event venue that can take an entire company in one room, and promoted or ticketed events are permitted for organizers running a public night.
Planning Notes
Security is required for any event with more than 25 guests or with alcohol. Your rental includes setup and breakdown within the booked hours, vendors must be pre-approved with proof of insurance, and load-in and load-out are coordinated in advance. Exceeding the approved capacity can end an event without refund, so lock in your headcount early.
House rules: no open flames, glitter, confetti brought in by guests, or nails and tacks on walls, and all decor comes down by the end of the rental. No smoking or vaping indoors, no weapons or pyrotechnics, and no underage drinking. DJs and live music are welcome within volume limits, with a noise restriction after 2:00 am. Free street parking and paid lots are both nearby.
To check availability, send an inquiry through Events in Minutes with your date, expected headcount and the production you have in mind, and the venue team will confirm what the room can support.
