How a Studio Booking Works
Bookings run from a 2-hour minimum up to 14 hours, any day of the week between 7 AM and 9 PM. Entry is self-guided: a key waits in a lock box, and you return it when you leave. Many photographers use the first part of a booking to set up backdrops and lights and the last part to pack down, so build that time into your hours. Furniture can be moved to clear the floor, and the main room works as a holding area where the next family or client can wait while a session wraps up in the photo room. The same hourly rate applies to every hour of the booking, so a full mini session day or a multi-look shoot is easy to budget.
How Many People Can Join?
The studio is listed for up to 20 people, with standing room for 20 or banquet-style seating for 14 when a table layout is needed. In practice it suits a small group in the room at any one time: a photographer or two, a hair and makeup artist, and the family or client in front of the camera. On mini session days, families rotate through in time slots rather than all arriving at once.
Light, Sound and Shooting Conditions
The main draw is daylight. The windows are large, and the curtain layers let you move from bright and airy to soft and diffused. The room cannot be fully blacked out, so plan around natural light or add the lighting equipment for a more controlled look. The space is not soundproofed; it is usually very quiet, with occasional sounds from outside, which matters for video with live audio. Exterior shots are allowed, smoke machines are not, and the circuit breaker is not accessible to guests.
Where It Happens
The studio is on the ground floor in a quiet part of Cupertino, close to highways 280 and 85, with street-level entry and wheelchair access. Free street parking is easy to find Monday through Saturday at all hours. For a few hours on Sunday a nearby church fills the street, so you may park a block or two away, still for free.
Good Fit For
- Family portraits, including christmas family studio photography with the holiday decorations add-on
- Newborn sessions with the newborn photo tools and white bed add-ons
- Maternity shoots in soft, curtain-filtered window light
- A corporate headshot studio for teams and professionals, and a graduation photography studio for seniors
- Engagement studio photography and anniversary portraits
- Holiday mini sessions with families booked in back-to-back slots
Can I Host a Party Here?
No. The studio accepts photography sessions only. A holiday mini session with a photographer, a stylist and families coming in a few at a time is a strong match; a holiday party, a birthday celebration or any event with alcohol is not. If your plans are a shoot, this is the right room.
House Rules at a Glance
There is no smoking in the building. Treat the equipment with care and leave things as you found them. Return the lock-box key when you leave, and turn off the heat or air conditioning before you go. The one indoor security camera is switched off whenever the studio is booked. Surfaces are cleaned between bookings and linens are washed after each use.
