Description

A Bay Area Certified Wedding Officiant Ceremony Your Guests Are Part Of

The Gold Package adds the layer that turns a San Francisco Bay Area wedding ceremony from a moment the couple goes through into one the whole room shares. It includes everything in the Silver Package - the customized story-driven script, your own vows, the choice of one ritual (sand, wine, candle, or rose) - plus guest participation woven into the ceremony itself. Couples across Pleasanton, Livermore, Dublin, Oakland, Berkeley, San Francisco, San Jose, Marin, and the Wine Country pick this tier when their friends and family are the heart of the wedding and they want that visible in the ceremony, not just at the reception. This is a certified wedding officiant package built for couples who want a certified wedding officiant.

What Guest Participation Looks Like

Guest participation is built around what fits your group. A common version is a community vow, where the officiant asks the assembled guests to stand and answer "we do" to a single question about supporting the marriage - short, simple, and surprisingly moving. Other versions include a ring-warming, where the wedding bands are passed through a small group of family members each silently offering a wish; a unity ritual that pulls in parents or children for the sand or candle moment; or a reading from two or three guests chosen ahead of time, with text the officiant helps you select.

What Is Included

The discovery phone interview and unlimited support from the Basic and Silver tiers carry through. The script is fully customized to your love story, your own vows are welcomed and edited if you wish, one ritual is performed with elements arranged as discussed, and the guest-participation element is rehearsed in the officiant's notes so the timing on the day is smooth and not awkward. The California marriage license is signed at the ceremony and filed with the issuing county within ten days, per state law.

Real Multicultural Experience

Multicultural ceremonies are where this tier shines. Combining a primary ritual with a participation moment is a natural way to honor two cultural backgrounds at once - a Filipino veil ceremony with a community blessing, a Japanese sake share with a ring-warming, a Latin lazo paired with a parent reading, a Portuguese bread-and-salt blessing with a community vow. The officiant has fifteen-plus years and several hundred multicultural ceremonies of experience drawing these together so they read as one ceremony, not a checklist.

Trilingual Ceremonies

The wedding officiant is fully trilingual in English, Portuguese, and Spanish. Gold Package ceremonies can be delivered entirely in one language, in a bilingual format alternating between two languages, or with key moments (the welcome, a parent's blessing, the pronouncement) repeated in a second language for family members who want to hear them in their own tongue.

Why This Officiant

Fifteen-plus years in the Bay Area wedding industry, with a reputation built on warmth of delivery and trilingual range that few other officiants offer, with spanish wedding officiant and Portuguese fluency including the legal language. Past ceremonies span Berkeley garden weddings, Sunol vineyard ceremonies, Pleasanton event center evenings, Livermore country weddings, and intimate ceremonies in San Francisco backyards and city hall steps.

Cancellation + Date Changes

One date change is accommodated; subsequent moves carry a fee. Cancellations within thirty days forfeit the booked amount.

For Bay Area couples whose friends and family are the heart of the wedding, this is the package built for that.

What's Included

Fully customized story-driven ceremony script; initial discovery phone interview; unlimited email and phone support through the wedding day; couple's own vows welcomed and edited if desired; one ritual included - sand, wine, candle, or rose; guest participation moment woven into the ceremony (community vow, ring-warming, parent reading, or unity-ritual involvement); California marriage license signed at the ceremony and filed with the issuing county within ten days; certified wedding officiant delivery in English, Portuguese, or Spanish; rehearsal of the participation timing in the officiant's notes for a smooth on-day flow.

Service Area + Booking Process

Ceremonies are delivered across the SF Bay Area - Pleasanton, Livermore, Dublin, San Ramon, Danville, Fremont, Oakland, Berkeley, San Francisco, San Jose, Marin, and the Wine Country. Travel within a standard East Bay radius is included; further-out ceremonies carry a transparent mileage fee. Rehearsals are an add-on at two hundred dollars per hour.

Rules

Booking + Travel

Bookings confirmed with a signed agreement and deposit (amount communicated on inquiry). Travel within the San Francisco Bay Area is included for most events; ceremonies beyond a standard radius (typically 30-40 miles from East Bay) may carry a mileage fee, communicated up front.

Rehearsals

Rehearsals are available as an add-on at the published hourly rate of two hundred dollars per hour, with subsequent half-hour increments at one hundred dollars, plus travel. Rehearsals are typically scheduled Monday through Thursday based on availability. If a sound system is needed for the rehearsal, an additional fee applies.

Marriage License

The couple is responsible for obtaining a valid California marriage license from any California county before the ceremony date. The officiant signs the license at the ceremony and files it with the issuing county within ten days, per California Family Code.

Witnesses

A confidential California marriage license requires no witness; a regular license requires one witness signature. The couple should bring or arrange a witness for any ceremony using a regular license.

Customization + Beliefs

Non-denominational ceremonies welcoming all faiths, cultures, and family structures. LGBTQ+ couples are welcomed unreservedly. Multicultural and multilingual ceremonies are accommodated; Portuguese and Spanish ceremonies are available end-to-end without an interpreter.

What is Expected of You

Provide an accurate guest count, ceremony start time, and venue address by the planning meeting. Communicate any cultural traditions, rituals, or do-not-include requests early so the script is built around your story. On the day, allow at least twenty minutes for the officiant to set up audio if a PA is part of the package.

Lead Time

Inquiries for weekend wedding dates ideally arrive at least three to four months in advance. Mid-week and elopement-style ceremonies often accommodate two to four weeks notice subject to availability.
