From Carneros to Calistoga
The flight begins with each guest's choice of Carneros Chardonnay, Carneros Elizabeth Pinot Noir or Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon. It then moves to the winery's Stags Leap District Black Label Cabernet Sauvignon and finishes with a Cabernet Sauvignon from the Calistoga estate, tracing Napa Valley from its cool southern reaches to the volcanic soils of the north.
All three wines come from one family-owned winery that farms every vine itself, and two of those vineyards, in the Stags Leap District and Calistoga, are certified organic. The result is a clear, approachable lesson in how place shapes flavor, served at an easy pace with cheese and charcuterie on the table. Guests who are new to wine get a simple framework for tasting, and enthusiasts get to debate which corner of the valley suits them most.
Why It Works for Groups
This is wine team building at its most relaxed. Your group has its own table within the shared tasting room, so conversation flows naturally while the host pours and explains each wine. With 75 minutes and a modest price per guest, it is easy to add to a busy offsite day or a wine country weekend.
It is a good pick among team building outings for small groups who are new to Napa Valley, and one of the easier company outing activities to approve for a small team, a family reunion or friends celebrating a birthday. Guests who already know wine will enjoy comparing the appellations side by side.
About the Winery
The host is a second-generation, family-owned winery in the Stags Leap District, in the heart of Napa Valley. The family farms every vine itself, and two of its vineyards, in the Stags Leap District and Calistoga, are certified organic. Wine caves run beneath the estate, and small-lot Cabernet Sauvignon is the focus of the winemaking. The winery is open daily from 10 AM to 4 PM by prior reservation.
