After your group arrives at the pottery studio, the session begins with a brief introduction and live demonstration from a professional instructor. Participants learn the fundamentals of throwing a bowl or cylinder on the potter’s wheel before trying it themselves using a one-pound ball of clay.
To maximize participation, the group rotates between activities:
Up to 10 participants work on the pottery wheels at a time
The remaining participants enjoy pottery painting simultaneously
While rotating, each participant paints a 7-inch ceramic plate using vibrant pigment colors, creating a relaxing and creative flow alongside the wheel-throwing experience.
This 90-minute pottery team-building experience is beginner-friendly and ideal for corporate groups, startups, and teams looking for a creative offsite in San Francisco, Silicon Valley, or the greater Bay Area. All tools, materials, and instruction are provided at the studio.
Finished pottery pieces are professionally dried, trimmed, bisque-fired, glazed, and glaze-fired. The team selects one glaze color for wheel-thrown pieces, and participants are notified when their finished artwork is ready for pickup.
