Every ceremony is written from scratch around the two (or more) people standing in it. No fill-in-the-blank templates or generic vows. Time is taken to understand who the couple is, what their relationship actually looks like, and what they want the moment to mean — then a ceremony is written that reflects that.
This service is designed for all couples, with a special welcome for LGBTQIAPK+ couples, polyamorous and non-monogamous partnerships, and anyone whose relationship doesn't fit a traditional mold. If a couple has ever worried that an officiant might not "get it" — that is exactly the gap this service closes.

SERVICE AREA: Midcoast Maine. The officiant travels to the couple's chosen venue within this region. Additional travel for locations outside Midcoast Maine can be discussed on a case-by-case basis.
EVENT TYPES SERVED: Elopements, small intimate ceremonies, and larger weddings. Every event type receives the same level of custom attention, from a short elopement script to a full-length wedding ceremony with multiple readings and rituals.
UNIQUE FEATURES: Every single ceremony script is built from the ground up — no templates, no pre-written paragraphs. The script is tailored to the couple's unique story, values, and relationship structure. The officiant specializes in serving couples who have felt overlooked by traditional wedding services, including LGBTQIAPK+ couples, polyamorous and non-monogamous partners, and those planning commitment ceremonies outside legal marriage. Support with custom vows, readings, and rituals such as handfasting, sand ceremonies, or other symbolic elements is included.
PLANNING AND CUSTOMIZATION: The process begins with one or two in-depth conversations (in person or by video call) to learn about the couple's relationship history, shared values, and vision for the ceremony. Based on those conversations, a full ceremony script is written and shared with the couple for review and edits. Revisions are included to ensure the script feels exactly right. The officiant can also help coordinate the flow of the ceremony, coach the couple on timing and speaking, and coordinate with other vendors (such as photographers or venue coordinators) on the day of.
OFFICIANT EXPERIENCE: The officiant has extensive experience writing and leading ceremonies for couples of all backgrounds, with a particular focus on inclusive and non-traditional relationships. Every ceremony is performed with warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail. The officiant is legally authorized to perform marriage ceremonies in Maine and has completed training in LGBTQ+ inclusive officiating practices.

COMMITMENT CEREMONIES: For couples who prefer a commitment ceremony without legal marriage, the same level of custom scripting and officiating is available. This option is ideal for partnerships where legal marriage is not desired or not accessible, including polyamorous groups, non-monogamous partners, or couples who want a spiritual celebration without government recognition.
