The lineup includes lead vocals plus harmonies, full rhythm section, and a complete three horn section: trumpet, saxophone, and trombone.
The horn section is the signature element of this tier. Trumpet, saxophone, and trombone build a sound layer that carries a ballroom without leaning on amplification and opens up arrangement options for Motown, soul, funk, and big-band cuts that thinner ensembles cannot land with the same energy.
