Rules

Performance 

  1. The entertainment to be provided by the Performer is generally described as private event.

2. Date and Time of Performance 

The Venue will be available for set-up on 2/14/27  at 4.00 p.m.The Performer will play from 4.30 p.m. to 7.00 p.m.

3. Payment 

In full consideration for all services rendered by the Performer, the Purchaser agrees to pay the Performer a fixed fee of  $780.The price includes travel expenses and sound system.

4. Performer Expenses 

The client is responsible for any parking/valet fee. The performer will provide their own sound system and equipment and will require a designated space for load off. For performances longer than 2/3 hours, a vendor’s meal might be requested by the performer. 

5. Taxes 

The Performer is responsible for its own tax and other contributions. 

6. Deposit and final payment

A 50% deposit is required to finalize the booking. The deposit shall be placed within 3 days from the contract’s signature otherwise the performers reserve the right to commit to other bookings. The deposit can be placed through Venmo (https://venmo.com/u/Californiamagicstrings),credit card (please contact us to get a CC form or online link), Zelle (3236528192) or PayPal (paypal.me/californiamagic). Please note: payments submitted through Venmo, PayPal or credit card are subjected to a 3.7% commission fee applied by the app developer. By placing the deposit, the client agrees to the terms and conditions of this contract. 

7. Overtime 

If and when agreeable to the Purchaser and the Performer, the time of the Performance may be extended at the hourly overtime rate of $300, to be paid prior to the overtime period. 

8. Payment of Balance 

The Purchaser will pay to the Performer by  2/1/2027  any outstanding balance of the Fee in the form of Venmo, Zelle or credit card (3.7% commission fee applied by CC company).Please note: payments submitted through Venmo, PayPal or credit card are subjected to a 3.7% commission fee applied by the app developer. Failure to comply with these terms and condition will result in in the event cancellation and deposit being forfeited. 

9. Song list

A complete song list can be found on www.californiamagicstrings.com. Special requests are welcome - the first 3 are free of charge than a $7 will be applied for any additional request (for live music). The final song list shall be received no later than a week prior to the performance. 

10. Cancellation By Purchaser 

The Purchaser reserves the right to cancel this agreement without obligation upon notice to the Performer prior to 8/26/26. In the event of said cancellation, all payments made to the Performer will be forfeited. 

Failure to comply with the terms and condition of the agreement or failure to place the final payment on time will result in the event cancellation and the deposit will be forfeited. 

11. Cancellation By Performer 

The Performer reserves the right to cancel this Agreement without obligation upon notice to the Purchaser prior to 8/26/26. In the event the Performer cancels the Performance under the terms of this section, the Performer will promptly return any funds already paid to the Purchaser. 

12. Non-performance by the Purchaser 

Those obligations of the Purchaser that are to be completed prior to the Performance of the Performer are conditions precedent which must be carried out in full by the Purchaser before the Performer is required to perform unless otherwise agreed to by all parties in writing. If the Purchaser cancels or postpones any performance without proper notice or fails to make any payment or fails to carry out any other condition precedent as required by this Agreement then the Purchaser will be in breach of this Agreement and the Performer will have no further obligations under this Agreement. The Purchaser will forfeit any funds already paid to the Performer. 

13. Sound and Lighting Systems 

The Performer will provide all sound systems required to facilitate the Performance as agreed upon by both parties. 

14. Insurance 

The Performer warrants and represents that it has sufficient personal injury and property damage liability insurance to protect against any harm or damages that may occur as a result of the activities of the Performer in relation to the Performance. 

15. Dress Code 

The Performer will be suitably and tidily dressed during the Performance.Most commonly black attire. Any specific dress code requirement shall be discussed in advance prior to the booking.

What is the cancellation or rescheduling policy?

Can this event take place at our office or chosen venue?

Many services can travel to your office or preferred venue. It is marked as 'Travels to You'. When applicable, select 'Travels to You' during booking in the filter. Please check building restrictions (alcohol, cooking, sound levels, etc.) and insurance requirements in advance. Most vendors can provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI) if needed.

Is the date and time available?

Yes. If you can select a date and complete checkout with instant booking packages, the package is available. Some packages have request to book and vendors need to check and respond.
