The Facial
The studio describes its facials as customized treatments designed to restore, nourish and reveal healthy, radiant skin. The Foundation Facial in this package is part of the pre-wedding skincare prep the studio offers to brides. Book it ahead of your tan, since the studio asks that facials happen at least 24 hours before a spray tan.
Brazilian Sugar Hair Removal
Sugaring uses a paste made of just sugar, lemon and water, with no paper strips. It is applied against the direction of hair growth and lifted off with it. Many clients find it less uncomfortable than waxing and gentler on skin, and it is known to help prevent ingrown hairs, which matters before a wedding.
The Airbrush Tan
Your tan uses the studio's Rapid Airbrush Tan with clear solution. The studio works with AltSun and Nuda Professional solutions plus Dolce Glow and sJolie additives, all described as vegan, cruelty-free and free of parabens, sulphates and gluten. Color is tailored to your skin tone and fully develops within about 24 hours.
Putting the Timeline Together
The studio recommends coming in for an event tan 36 to 48 hours before, with 24 hours also fine. Sugaring is encouraged right before an airbrush tan, and skipping shaving helps the tan last. The facial should land at least 24 hours before the tan. Talk through your dates when booking so each service lines up with your wedding.
Keep the sun in mind, too. The studio does not spray tan skin that has been sunburned within the past two weeks or is peeling, and sugaring is not done on sunburned skin either. Protecting your skin in the week before your appointments keeps all three services on track for the wedding.
How to Prep
For sugaring, allow at least 2.5 weeks of growth since shaving and 3 weeks since your last sugaring or waxing, skip exfoliating the area for 24 hours, and arrive with clean skin. For the tan, moisturize and exfoliate during the week before, avoid waxing, and skip lotion or deodorant after your pre-tan shower. Wear dark, loose clothing.
Aftercare
After sugaring, avoid sweat, sun, hot tubs, pools and fragranced products on the area for 12 hours. After your tan, rinse with water only 2 to 7 hours later and wait 20 to 24 hours for a soap shower. Wear sun protection and avoid sunburn, which can make a tan flake before the wedding.
