About the Officiant

This is a certified wedding officiant and ordained non-denominational multicultural minister, with more than four hundred ceremonies on the central coast since 2010. Couples mention the calm presence, the flexibility on the day, and the soft humor that keeps everyone breathing. Civil-union, interfaith, non religious wedding officiant, and modern-spirituality ceremonies are all part of the offering, alongside bilingual options for couples who want a Spanish wedding officiant element in the language. Couples from every belief background and the entire LGBTQIA+ community are warmly welcomed.

Where Ceremonies Take Place

Ceremonies happen from the redwoods and beaches of Santa Cruz to the coves of Carmel, the Monterey Peninsula, and the cliffs of Big Sur. The officiant knows hidden gems off the beaten path and the beloved spots that steal everyone's heart, and is happy to suggest a location that fits your vision. For ceremonies inside a California State Park, the officiant secures the necessary permits on your behalf and the required liability insurance is included with the permit at no additional charge. Garrapata State Park and Carmel River Beach are available at an exclusive discounted permit rate for couples booking the elopement package.

Who This Package Fits

This is the right wedding officiant package for couples who want their ceremony to feel uniquely theirs. It fits couples who want a non traditional wedding officiant approach where their cultural background, their relationship rhythm, and the symbolic elements they grew up with all have a place in the ceremony. It also fits couples planning a micro-wedding or an intimate destination ceremony on the central coast who want to add one heartfelt ritual to mark the moment, then keep the rest of the day grounded and real. The keepsake vow booklets are a particularly meaningful detail couples mention again and again after the wedding.

A Wedding Officiant Near You

If you have been searching for a wedding officiant near me on the central coast, this is a certified wedding officiant available across Santa Cruz, Monterey, Carmel, and Big Sur. Couples often ask about wedding officiant cost in this area, and these packages are intentionally priced as an affordable wedding officiant option for couples planning intimate ceremonies, still with a fully personalized ceremony rather than a recycled script. A free phone consultation is available before booking to talk through your vision and which package fits.

Booking Your Date

To reserve a date, request availability for your wedding day along with your preferred ceremony location and a few sentences about the two of you. A deposit secures the date, and the personalized ceremony script is finalized in the weeks before the wedding. Dates on the central coast in peak season from May through October book months ahead, so reaching out early matters more than the size of the ceremony.

Rules

Booking and Planning

A deposit is required to secure the wedding date. The remaining balance is due before the ceremony as specified at booking. Customized ceremony scripts and vows should be finalized at least four weeks before the ceremony so there is time for thoughtful revisions and printing of keepsake vow booklets when applicable.

Travel and Permits

Travel within the Santa Cruz, Monterey, Carmel, and Big Sur areas is included in the package price. Travel to ceremony locations outside this primary service area is accommodated when available; a travel quote is provided at booking. For ceremonies inside a California State Park, the necessary permit is secured on the couple's behalf and the permit fee is added to the package; liability insurance required by the park is included at no additional charge.

On the Day

The officiant arrives in advance of the scheduled ceremony start time to greet the couple, confirm the order of events, and coordinate with any wedding photographer, planner, or musician on site. The legal marriage license must be presented before the ceremony begins so it can be signed by the couple, the witnesses, and the officiant on the day. The officiant cannot pronounce the marriage without a valid, unexpired California marriage license in hand.

Cancellation Policy

If the couple needs to cancel, the deposit secures the date and is non-refundable. Rescheduling is accommodated whenever the new date is available, with no rescheduling fee for the first change. Weather-driven location changes within the same date are accommodated at no additional charge. The officiant carries the right to cancel only in case of a documented medical emergency or family emergency, in which case the full deposit is refunded or applied to a substitute officiant of equivalent experience if the couple prefers.
